The next Biting Love story, Biting the Rainbow, is now in the hands of the gods...er, editor. Same thing.
So now I'm back to playing pit orchestra, Guys & Dolls. Flute only this time. I have to say, though I enjoy the challenge of playing different reeds and love the sound of clarinet, there's something deeply satisfying about just being able to play the part on the instrument I know best. Also, my favorite musicians are in the pit with me, including the best set drum man in the world, the most awesome trumpet woman I know, and the wonderful, fantastic cellist husband who makes it all ten times more fun. And chocolate. Where would I be without pit chocolate?
(While that's a rhetorical question, the answer is: faint from low blood sugar. I put out a lot of energy in a pit.)
