My Writing Process

This particular blog hop is all about authors offering others a glimpse into their work, their work schedules, and perhaps their innermost thoughts. Some of us are quite opposite our real life personas.

So who subjected you to this arduous journey through the innermost working of my mind?

That would be the very talented romantic suspense author Val Clarizio, who writes the delicious Nick Spinelli mysteries.

Author of:

Q. What am I working on?

Assassins Bite. Biting Love Book 8 is wild with sex, fights, a bumbling but cute cop and a deadly assassin vampire bewildered by love.

Q. How does my work differ from others of its genre?

The blend of character and sex, comedy and heart-breaking moments, action and love.

Q. Why do I write what I do?

Because no one else was writing it at the time :) .

Q. How does your writing process work?

I've evolved it over the years but the basic driver is a strong man and a strong woman who seem opposite but who belong together in every sense of the word. I use Goal and Motive to set the engine, the five plot points to create the story arch, pair the inner journey with the proper theme and then write, filling in and adjusting as needed.

Q. Who will we meet next week (March 17)?

Renee Wildes, fantasy author extraordinaire!

Heroine Cheyenne Rafferty is a white wolf shifter who works for the U.S. Forestry Service in Kootenai National Forest. When her truck is destroyed by an unusual earthquake, she doesn’t think her day can get any worse. Until she runs afoul of a demon from the ancient past – and the compelling warrior who followed it forward in time.

Hero Marek awakens 2000 years in the future, to a world all but incomprehensible. Sent to teach modern warriors to combat the Reynak, he now finds the demon the only thing familiar. His people and their epic struggle have been lost to the passage of time. The only one willing to help him is a daughter of the earth, a beautiful shifter woman with the heart of a wolf.

This isn’t your standard werewolf tale. The first of a planned trilogy, it has a strong environmental theme and features werewolves, time-traveling Native American warriors, demons and a resurrected ancient goddess
