3T Writing Tidbit

I often start with a theme and have to make a story out of it. For example, Biting Nixie is about when to play by the rules and when to break them. One of the best ways to explore a theme in a rounded way is to pit characters holding opposite opinions on the theme against each other. Thus Nixie (the rule breaker) and Julian (the rule follower--or is he??) were born.

Published since 2009, over the years I've accumulated various items of writing wisdom. The Third Tuesday Writing Tidbit showcases these items in no particular order. Click here to see all 3T Tidbits.
